 Retirement Services Associate

JOB DESCRIPTION

Summary
The Retirement Services Associate works with the Director of Retirement Services and other retirement services specialists to oversee Index Fund Advisors (IFA) and Investing For Catholics (IFC).

C new business opportunities and retain existing business.

Essential Functions
Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.  The Retirement Services Associate will perform the following functions:

1.     Manage IFA’s relationships with record-keepers, TPAs and plan sponsors.

2.     Regularly access record-keeper, TPA and retirement plan resource websites for reports and data.

3.     Respond to and provide support to plan sponsors, record-keepers, TPAs and Advisors.

4.     Assist with plan sponsor onboarding operations.  New business tasks include following established new business procedures, requesting the microsite set-up, completing paperwork , setting up plan with operations and IT, conference calls with record-keepers, TPAs, Advisors, plan sponsors and ongoing monitoring of the conversion timeline.

5.     Assist with plan termination procedures.

6.     Assist advisors with meeting preparation including drafting agendas, preparing meeting material and plan highlights, and reviewing employee and employer presentations.  Track advisor meetings.

7.     Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, maintaining personal networks and participating in professional organizations.

8.     Oversee administrative workflow and provide general office support for the Retirement Services department.

9.     Conduct participant education meetings.

10.  Update and maintain computer files, hardcopy files, spreadsheets and advisor and retirement services resources.

11.  Assist with periodic benchmarking of retirement plan fees.

12.  Maintain and update Salesforce.

13.  Draft proposals and obtain quotes from record-keepers and TPAs.

14.  Interact with other departments to provide retirement services expertise.

15.  Perform general clerical activities (faxing, copying, filing).

16.  Perform all other duties as assigned.

Supervisory Responsibility

This position has no supervisory responsibilities. 

Work Environment
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position. Hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., 40 hours per week.
Travel: 
Occasional travel is expected for this position. 

Required Education and Experience

  • ·       At least three (3) years of experience working in retirement services.
  • ·       FINRA Series 65 license obtained or examination scheduled.

Preferred Education and Experience
Undergraduate degree in finance, economics, business administration or related fields.
