Recommendations for Plan Sponsors, Fiduciaries, and Service Providers From a Plaintiff’s Litigation Perspective

Meet us Online

Thursday, March 18, 2021

8:00 am to 9:45 am

  Our Presentation:

Current ERISA litigation shines a spotlight on a wide variety of choices in retirement plan design, investing, administration, and record-keeping. Know the issues and make informed decisions. Teresa Renaker will discuss lessons from new and evolving litigation trends, including:

Cybertheft of plan assets – who is responsible and what are the remedies?

    • Forum selection provisions – drafting tips from the courts
    • Pension statement errors – fiduciary breach, state-law negligence, or none of the above?
    • Same-sex spouses and domestic partners – new and unresolved issues
    • Updates on investment litigation and arbitration clauses

 Our speaker:

Teresa Renaker:

Teresa Renaker is a founding partner at Renaker Hasselman Scott, LLP. She has focused on representing plaintiffs in employee benefits matters for more than 20 years and litigates cases nationwide.
