Our Presentation:

For most individuals, their 401(k) account is their primary source of retirement and their single largest investment. The idea that a hacker or some form of a cyber-attack could wipe out someone’s 401(k) balance is chilling. In our upcoming presentation, you will hear from subject matter experts addressing the most important questions.

• How do recent trends in cyber security impact retirement plans?
• What is the DOL saying about cyber security?
• How are recordkeepers and other service providers responding?
• What happens to participant accounts if there is a breach?
• Can cyber insurance protect retirement plan sponsors?
• What should plan sponsors be doing to protect themselves and their participants?

Rick Unser: 

Rick Unser is a Forbes Contributor, Creator and Host of the 401(k) Fridays Podcast, a Workplace Retirement Plan Consultant and helps employers solve complex workplace retirement plan problems. Rick works with employers with several hundred to thousands of employees and leads Lockton’s Retirement Practice in Lockton’s Pacific Series. As a Workplace Retirement Plan Consultant, he supports employers and their workplace retirement plans to: Integrate Employer Goals and Culture with their Retirement Benefits Strategy; Enhance Employer Fiduciary Protection; Streamline Plan Operations; Improve Employee Retirement Outcomes.

A Note Regarding COVID-19 Measures:

WP&BC Orange County is excited to welcome all members back for live in-person meetings. To ensure the comfort and safety of our guests during this pandemic, we will be following best practices and arranging our tables so that there can be more distance between attendees and we will be requiring all attendees to wear face masks unless eating or drinking   Due to the fluctuating nature of COVID-19 safety requirements by the State of California, Orange County, and our meeting venue, we may have to institute additional safety measures, up to and including a return to a virtual format. We will keep you updated regarding any changes to these measures. Should you have any further questions, please don’t hesitate to contact me.

Doors open at 7:30 am for check-in, breakfast and networking.  Our program will begin at 8:00 am and this program will end at approximately 9:45 am.  The registration fee includes a full breakfast buffet and hosted valet parking.
