Lessons Learned and Next Steps
Elizabeth Groenewegen will share Aon Hewitt experiences in evaluating 404a-5 and 408b-2 compliance for their 401(k) and 403(b) plan sponsor clients. She will review disclosure requirements and enforcement provisions. She will identify common compliance lapses and gaps, and the steps her firm is recommending to clients to accomplish full compliance.
About our Speaker:
Elizabeth L. Groenewegen is a legal consultant with Aon Hewitt in San Francisco. She has over 15 years of experience working exclusively in the field of employee benefits. Elizabeth began to specialize in employee benefits during the years she practiced in the IRS counsel’s office in San Francisco. During her final years at the IRS, she had primary responsibility for providing legal advice to IRS field agents in the western region regarding employee benefits matters. She also represented the IRS in the U.S. Tax Court in particular cases involving employee benefits tax issues. Subsequently, she was of counsel with a San Francisco law firm that practiced exclusively in the area of employee benefits. At that firm, she worked on employee benefits matters for a broad spectrum of clients – from sole proprietors to multinational business enterprises.
Doors open at 7:30 a.m. for check-in, breakfast and networking. Our program will begin at 8:00 a.m. and this program will end at approximately 9:30 a.m. The registration fee includes a full breakfast buffet and hosted parking in the self-parking lot at the Hyatt.
