Speakers
Richard Luna, Boutwell Fay, LLP
For almost 20 years, Richard Luna has advised employers of all sizes, including Fortune 500 companies and other public and private companies and start-ups on all aspects of ERISA compliance and the day-to-day operation and administration of employee benefit plans.
Rich has extensive experience designing plans, and drafting plan documents, amendments and summary plan descriptions to ensure employer plans are compliant with ERISA and the Internal Revenue Code. He has adeptly navigated complex fiduciary issues and prohibited transactions, ensuring clients remain compliant while optimizing their benefits strategies.
Before joining private practice, Rich held several roles at the Employee Benefits Security Administration of the U.S. Department of Labor (DOL), where he oversaw a team that investigated complex financial matters related to plan investments, fees, ESOPs, prohibited transactions, MEWAs and other benefit plans and negotiated corrections with fiduciaries. Additionally, his legal expertise spans ERISA, the IRC and more.
Reid Eanes, Lockton Financial Services
Reid is a Co-Managing Director of Lockton Financial Services (LFS), the National D&O and Governance Risk Management Group. Reid has oversight responsibilities for operations and client servicing for the Denver, Irvine, Los Angeles, Sacramento, Salt Lake City, San Francisco, San Diego, Scottsdale, and Seattle LFS teams.
For clients, he provides full contract analysis, coverage negotiation, claims advocacy, and alternative program design. Reid thrives when presented with complex risk needs. His expertise includes public and private companies, financial institutions, and healthcare risks, and he is well-versed in the financial and analytical review of companies from a risk management perspective.
In his operations role, Reid finds great joy in the human-element of this work. The recipient of great coaching in his own career, he takes pride in coaching young professionals to grow their industry expertise and business acumen. Lockton has led Reid to meaningful friendships and working partnerships. For Reid, a great day at work is one where he solves a client problem, learns something new, shares some knowledge, and enjoys a few good laughs. Reid is a regular public speaker on the topic of Executive Risk insurance and Governance Risk Management.
