How are Employers Responding?
Beginning in 2014, employers with at least 50 full-time employees will be subject to new rules requiring that they either provide health care coverage or pay a penalty. These rules are known as the "play or pay" rules. Our speakers will explain how to determine whether an employer is subject to play or pay, and if so, how to provide coverage in a way that will avoid the penalties. Hear answers to the questions that employers are asking about Health Care Reform:
- How do I know whether I am subject to play or pay?
- Who is a full-time employee?
- How do the penalties work?
- Who must I cover to avoid the penalties?
- What coverage must be provided?
- How are other employers responding to these rules?
- What impact will this have on our benefit programs?
This Technical Lunch Forum will be of particular interest to employers (both large and small), employee benefits professionals, including benefits brokers and consultants, accountants and attorneys.
